Welcome
to the
harmonica /mouth organ section

Let us introduce ourselves:
The DHV (Deutscher Harmonika Verband e.V.)
(German accordion and mouth organ incorporated society)
with its headquarters in Trossingen, is a group of friends

of folk music, accordion and mouth organ orchestras, ensembles, solo musicians and music teachers who have voluntarily joined together within the Federal Rupublic of Germany. There are 1.700 clubs in the society with more than 100,000 members. This makes the DHV the second-largest amateur society in Germany. The purpose of the society and some of their aims are to cultivate and maintain, to encourage and to spread the music of the harmonica (accordion and mouth organ).

The DHV is divided into so-called Land societies and divisions. In the Northern Land  there is the mouth organ section which consists of 16 orchestras/groups and 25 individual members (status: 10/2004). The mouth organ section organises an annual meeting for mouth organ players. Next meeting under TERMINE.
